Week 1: 71-Cowboys 17, 74-Raiders 12

Well here we go gents, the first week of what will hopefully be a long and competitively intense Canarsie Football League. My team DA "74" RAIDERS lost to Howie "Do Tell" Fortel's 71 Dallas Cowboys led by Roger Starbuck "sp" and Mike Ditka 17-12 in what turned out to be a slobber knocker. To those closet case wrestling fans out there you know what I mean. ANYWAY I am not much of a play by play writer but a "message in a bottle" stuff the highlights in a tight package. Lot's of turnovers on both sides, the one I especially credit as a "HUGE" play in the "Second QTR" I drove all the way down field as Raiders QB Ken "The Snake" Stabler mixed the run with some passes nicely when on Second and Goal on Dallas's 8 the Lilly led Dallas DEFENSE caused a fumble and recovered at their 5. As we know we couldn't control that in the other league either "Win some lose some". Then in the 3 rd quarter Dallas kicked a 47 yard field goal into 12 MPH wind pushing downward turbulence. I scored a field goal on a recovery of an onside kick late in the 4 th QTR, but with 1:10 or so remaining tried another onside kick but Dallas recovered. This was my first head on game versus someone due to issues beyond my control, and I am excited on how great this can be once I feel comfortable with all these complex plays.
